About Maggie Schleicher (She/Her)

Maggie Schleicher is a trauma-informed neurotherapist with extensive experience supporting adolescents, adults, trauma survivors, and individuals experiencing acute mental health challenges. Her clinical background encompasses leadership roles in inpatient psychiatric care, residential treatment, intensive outpatient programming, crisis stabilization, and community-based behavioral health. Maggie employs an affirming, non-judgmental, and nervous-system-informed approach, with a particular emphasis on neurodivergence, trauma, emotional regulation, and co-occurring mental health concerns. She draws upon training in motivational interviewing, co-regulation, mindfulness-based interventions, Polyvagal Theory, and neuroscience-informed care to create an environment that enables clients to better understand and engage with their nervous systems. Maggie is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Adams State University and is a member of Chi Sigma Iota, the international honor society for counselors. She brings thoughtfulness, integrity, and a commitment to excellence to her counseling practice, with a continuous focus on professional growth. Maggie holds certifications as a Neurodivergent Specialist, Nature-based Practitioner, Traumatic Stress Studies Professional, and Functional Medicine Health Coach. She utilized her love of research to heal from Mold Toxicity Illness and Lyme disease and is passionate about helping others with complex, chronic conditions. Her clinical perspective is informed by a biopsychosocial lens, Buddhist Psychology, and Internal Family Systems. She has received training in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), exposure and response prevention (ERP), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). At Lighthouse Neurofeedback, Maggie integrates behavioral health and trauma-informed expertise with neurofeedback to help clients build greater regulation, resilience, and awareness of their unique brain and nervous system patterns. She is particularly dedicated to assisting neurodivergent individuals and those affected by trauma in cultivating a stronger sense of safety, agency, and self-connection. This approach honors and supports individual differences, enabling clients to express their unique gifts, capacities, and wisdom. In her personal time, Maggie enjoys weight-lifting, spending time in nature, and reading.
