Kara Minear, RBT (She/Her)

Kara has spent more than 12 years volunteering and working with children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Her experience began in middle school when she volunteered with Miracle League, a program that provides opportunities for children with disabilities to play baseball. In high school, she continued working with individuals with disabilities by teaching adult special education programs at the University of Texas. Kara earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2025. She began working in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis as a Registered Behavior Technician and quickly found a passion for supporting children diagnosed with autism and their families. She is currently a BCBA Intern while completing her master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis at the University of Colorado Denver, with plans to graduate in December 2026 and pursue certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Originally from San Diego, California, Kara moved to Colorado in 2021 and now calls Colorado home. Outside of work and school, she enjoys spending time outdoors, playing piano, working out, and spending time with her friends, her fiancée, and her two Persian cats.
